Dunites & Sun Moon Dinner
Join us at 5:30pm on Friday, May 31st for a wine-paired dinner prepared by Alan Hsu and Sarah Cooper. Chefs Alan and Sarah are the driving force behind the newly launched Sun Moon Hospitality, where they combine their skills to create farmer and producer driven California cuisine cooked over open fire.
The skills that the two bring together are truly astonishing. After graduating C.I.A. Hyde Park, Sarah held the position of Bakery Sous Chef at Per Se (3 Star Michelin) and at Blue Hill at Stone Barns (2 Star Michelin). While Alan turned to the professional kitchen after graduating in Engineering at Cal Poly to work as Sous Chef at Benu (3 Star Michelin) and at Blue Hill at Stone Barns. Most recently, they worked together at Pomet in Oakland (Michelin Green Star) where Alan served as Executive Chef and Sarah was Pastry Chef.
There is a lot of star power between these two young chefs, and we are beyond thrilled to have them back on the SLO Coast creating a dinner paired with Dunites wines. This dinner will be at Hi Kite Vineyard in the heart of Edna Valley. This is the vineyard that we leased in 2023 and have taken over farming. The wines we will be pouring will highlight the fruit from Hi Kite, while featuring our favorite surrounding sites.
This event will be outside, please be prepared for cool weather, delicious wines, and a truly inspired meal.
