In our minds, Grenache is the most expressive variety for making rosé wines. Not only do have captivating aromatics and crunchy acidity, but they also posses refreshing palate weight so the wines are not too angular or flabby. The best wines are even able to express a sense of the place where they were grown (something that is not often considered in the commodity world of light pink wine). Our 2024 rosé comes entirely from Rancho Arroyo Grande, where the deep sandy soils surrounded by hills of chaparral are conveyed as salty and herbal notes in the glass. This wine is crisp and refreshing with pithy grapefruit and floral aromatics. It is a perfect wine for summer picnics and gatherings.
